How We Came About Today

Jennie Maybell “Bell” Hopper was born September 29, 1884 in Indian Territory, OK. She had black hair with dark skin and dark eyes. She passed away on September 15, 1971 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas, USA. She married Dea Pliney Long around 1896 in OK.  Story has it that Jennie fell in love with a doctor she cleaned house for.  Well she married that doctor.  Dr. Dea P. Long was born February 13, 1875 to Richard Lewis Long and Nancy Jane “Jennie” Terrell.  He also fought in the Spanish American War.  He went to Med. School in KY and became a general practice physician.  He died on March 3, 1955 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA.
