Hubert Gene Long was born on January 15, 1932, in Ganado, Texas, USA to his father Clifford Dee Long and Anna Mae Shahan. He was the grandson of Dr. Pliney Long and Jennie Maybell Hopper. He was also married to Wilma Jannette Chapman Wilma Jannette Chapman. He passed away on January 24, 1984, in Conroe, Texas, USA.
